Directly from the words of the Gitman Vintage team, introducing our collaboration OCBD:

“Our classic Oxfords are made from 5oz 100% cotton Cambridge Oxford, a durable fabric that softens when washed but remains virtually indestructible. This is the same fabric used for our first stock shirt in 1978 and the very same cloth we use today.

Many of our design details are carried over from our first shirts: barrel cuffs, a locker loop and rear box pleat, a rear collar button, a tacked, V-stitch chest pocket, and pleated sleeves for improved wearability. We build our oxfords with 18 stitches per inch for durability, heavy-duty chalk buttons, and a lined placket for added structure.

While others may not make them like they used to, we still do.”

To this iconic shirt, we’ve added our exclusive Oxford weave label, and each piece is hand-stamped in our workshop in Follina, evoking the charm of 1950s American laundries. Every shirt is unique, with no two stamps alike.An interesting detail lies in the stamp itself. We applied it using an ink that mimics the fading effect found on 1950s shirts, which fades with washing. This creates a truly vintage-inspired washed-out effect.

The shirts are pre-laundered for that authentic “Gitman Vintage” look, with a certain “je ne sais quoi” that will make you fall in love.
